We're Hiring: Goldsmith Assistant/Bench Jeweller (Part-Time) (Bench jeweller job Norfolk)

We’re really excited to share that April Dace Jewellery is growing... and we’re looking for an experienced bench jeweller to join us in our Norfolk workshop!

This is a part-time job role (1–2 days per week) based in Dereham, Norfolk, working closely alongside April on a mix of repairs, restorations, and bespoke pieces.

The role

This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety. You’ll be involved in repair work, fabrication, finishing, and preparing pieces at different stages of making.

There will also be some client interaction, including taking in repairs and facilitating collections. Much of the jewellery we work on is deeply personal, so care, attention, and a thoughtful approach are essential.

What we’re looking for

• At least 2 years’ bench/jobbing experience

• Confidence working independently at the bench

• Experience with repair work, soldering, and fabrication

• A good understanding of fine jewellery

Bonus (but not essential): stone setting, advanced repairs, reworking metals, laser welding.

We’re also looking for someone who is reliable, detail-focused, approachable, and comfortable speaking with clients.

• Hours: 1-2 days per week

• Pay: £13.00-£18.00 per hour (depending on experience)

• Contract: Permanent (freelance/contract considered)
