HOW TO LOOK AFTER YOUR JEWELLERY
Know how to treat your jewellery well so it lasts through generations.

Everyday Wear
It’s best not to sleep, swim or shower in your jewellery. Jewellery doesn’t like chlorine so take it off if you plan on taking a dip.

Apply any creams, lotions, sprays or perfumes before you put your jewellery on, making sure they’re dry first to avoid corrosion or discolouration.

Try to avoid wearing your rings while cleaning with chemicals, gardening or at the gym.
Cleaning
You can use a soft microfibre or jewellery cloth to remove any fingerprints or tarnish from the metal. Gently rub the cloth in circular motions.

You can also use jewellery dip, but don’t let your jewellery soak for too long - a quick dip should do it. See the gemstone care section for more information on t

A soft toothbrush and a bowl of warm water with a small drop of dish soap is another good way to clean your jewellery. Let the jewellery soak for a few minutes, then gently brush in small circular motions to clean the piece. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth or kitchen roll.

Metal Care
Silver is a softer metal so wear with care if your jewellery piece is dainty.

Silver will also tarnish/blacken over time but a quick wipe with a polishing cloth should rebrighten the surface.
White gold can be naturally yellowish in colour so is often rhodium plated. Rhodium plating wears off over time so we usually recommend re-plating between every 6 months - 1 year.

All jewellery will benefit from a professional clean if you feel the surface is scratched or dull.

I would advice having your jewellery looked at by a professional at least once a year to check on wear to claws or settings.
